When was Odette Estate founded?

Odette Estate was founded in February of 2012.

Who owns Odette Estate?

Odette Estate is owned by a small group of private investors.

Who is Odette?

She is a fabled princess, mistress and judge. You can find her in history, works of fiction, and even the world of wine. She encapsulates our vision for this property – femininity, strength and power.

Odette has been a pivotal character, not only in the literary works such as those penned by Shakespeare and Proust, but also in Tchaikovsky’s ballet Swan Lake. In the wine world, Odette was the name of one of the French judges of the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976 when a red wine from Stags Leap District beat out the French competition to take top honors.

Where is Odette Estate located?

We are located conveniently on the Silverado Trail in the Stags Leap District AVA. We are across from Pine Ridge and next to Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.

Are dogs and children allowed at your winery?

What wines do you make?

We make wines under two different labels: Odette Estate and Adaptation. Both are made by our Odette Estate Winemaker Jeff Owens.

Odette Estate wines are our primary focus. These are estate-grown and produced wines from our Stags Leap District vineyard. We make a Chardonnay, Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our Adaptation by Odette Estate wines are blended using grapes sourced from the best AVAs from some of the most prestigious growers in the valley. These wines are meant to represent a pure expression of Napa Valley. We have a Chardonnay, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Where did the name Adaptation come from?

Adaptation is the term used both in literary and scientific circles to define the progression of either a piece of written work or a life force from one state to another. Adaptation Wines represent the progression of wine produced in individual appellations to an anthology of single varietal labeled wines blended from the best AVAs, representing a pure expression of Napa Valley

Are your wines organic?

While our estate-grown grapes are organically farmed and our Adaptation wine grapes are sustainably grown, our wines are not considered organic due to some quality control measures we take during the production process.

Are your wines considered vegetarian?

Due to organic measures taken in the vineyard, our wines are not considered vegetarian or vegan.

Do you sell wines other than Odette Estate wines?

We are able to sell Odette Estate and Adaptation, as well as wines from our sister wineries, PlumpJack and CADE.
